1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Triarole ("the platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users — guests, hosts, and visitors.
2. The platform
Triarole is a marketplace that connects individuals exploring career changes ("guests") with working professionals willing to host 4-hour shadowing sessions ("hosts"). Triarole facilitates the connection and payment but is not a party to the session itself. Hosts are independent and not employees of Triarole.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their consent.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Bookings and payments
- When a guest submits a booking request, their payment is authorised but not captured until the host confirms.
- Hosts have 48 hours to confirm or decline a request. Unanswered requests are automatically cancelled and the authorisation released.
- Once confirmed, the guest's payment is captured and held by Triarole until the session is marked complete by the host.
- Triarole charges a platform fee of 10% of the session price. Hosts receive 90%.
- All payments are processed through Stripe. By using the platform, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
5. Cancellation and refunds
- 72+ hours before the session: full refund to the guest, no charge to the host.
- 24–72 hours before the session: 50% refund to the guest; host receives 25% of their payout as a cancellation fee.
- Less than 24 hours before the session: no refund; full payout to the host.
- If the host cancels, the guest receives a full refund regardless of timing.
6. Host responsibilities
- Hosts must complete identity verification and a background check before listing on the platform.
- Hosts must provide accurate information about the session, their role, and what guests will experience.
- Hosts must conduct sessions in a professional, respectful manner.
- Hosts must not share confidential employer information, client data, or any proprietary material during sessions.
- Hosts are responsible for obtaining any necessary employer or client consent before hosting a session in their workplace.
7. Guest responsibilities
- Guests must be honest in their intake forms and about their intentions.
- Guests must behave respectfully during sessions and follow host instructions.
- Guests must not record, photograph, or share session content without explicit consent from the host.
- Guests may not solicit employment, client referrals, or business opportunities from hosts outside the platform.
8. Prohibited conduct
The following are prohibited on Triarole:
- Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour towards any user.
- Creating fake accounts or impersonating others.
- Using the platform to solicit or conduct illegal activity.
- Circumventing the platform to arrange sessions or payments directly, to avoid platform fees.
- Posting false, misleading, or defamatory reviews or content.
9. Disputes
If a dispute arises between a guest and a host, both parties should first attempt to resolve it directly via the in-platform messaging. If unresolved, either party may open a formal dispute from their booking page. Triarole will review disputes within 2 business days and may issue refunds, withhold payouts, or take other action at our discretion. Triarole's decision on disputes is final.
10. Limitation of liability
Triarole is a marketplace platform. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or outcome of any session. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Triarole's liability for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant booking.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We'll notify you of material changes by email.
